A Neat Idea
It was another morning of playing ”find the lost sock” game. We’ve all played it. You go looking for a pair of socks but end up with a bunch of singletons. So you start looking everywhere for that one matching sock. You start with the dryer, then move to the laundry hamper and then in desperation you check under the beds, the kids’ shoes and wherever else you can think of. Then you have to face the reality that once again you have another single loan sock and that you are late for work.
In the spirit of my new organizational dedication, I have come up with a solution. Well, to be fair, I found it in a magazine but think it is so good that I am willing to make it my own. Starting tomorrow I will hang a pillowcase – it could be an extra laundry bag or even a cloth sac – in my laundry room (bathroom). When a lone sock appears, I will toss it in the bag. At the end of the month I am guessing that all the lost socks will have found their mate. If not, I will toss them and forever be rid of this sock. I will let you know if it works.
