One More Organization Tip
If you can stand it I have one more organizational tip. I thought I was done with organizing my life until I woke up this morning and realized I had to do something about all the hair elastics that are everywhere in the house. Both my daughter and I have long hair. At some point during every day I put my hair up in an elastic – be it to go to the gym, when I wale up, to go to work or when I get home. I simply can’t stand having my hair down all day, that being said I can’t stand having it up all day either, so I end up pulling the elastic out at any given time and dropping it on whatever flat surface is around.
My daughter on the other hand hates having her hair up but I insist she have some form of ponytail to go to school. So, when she gets home, out come the elastics and I am lucky if they land on a flat surface other than the floor. This means every morning is a scramble to find hair elastics, as they are never in the bathroom drawer where they are supposed to be. While cruising the internet I came upon this idea of putting the elastics on a carabiner – one of those multi-purpose clasps. This is brilliant. I can have one of these in my room, the kitchen, the den and the bathroom. They take up no room and they will keep the elastics together. Now I only have to worry that the kids don’t think this is a new toy.
