The Great Trade-In event
One of the things that came out of my participation in the Health Canada product safety announcement was that I found out about the Great Trade-In Event at Toys R Us. Although I am past the baby stage, I still have a pre-schooler that requires “stuff” – like a stroller and a car seat. After hearing everyone talk about safety, I realised that the car seat my 4 year-old has been using is one my 13 year-old used when he was that age. That’s only nine years but it adds up to a lot of wear and tear.
I don’t think that the seat is on any recall lists but I decided to be safe. I brought it back and took my 20% discount on a new booster seat. It just seemed to make sense to me. The deal is available to everyone until this weekend.
